The Freida is a 500mm diameter crystal chandelier with six E14 bulb fittings arranged inside a cylindrical white organza shade, supported by a polished chrome frame and chain. Strands of faceted crystal beads hang vertically through the centre of the shade and cascade below the drum, ending in hexagonal crystal drops that catch and refract light from the bulbs above.

Designed for dining rooms and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher, the Freida provides both ambient light through the fabric shade and decorative sparkle from the crystal strands. The adjustable drop ranges from 1040mm to 2000mm, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or centred in a double-height space. The white organza diffuses the light evenly while the crystal adds movement and reflected highlights across the room.

The polished chrome canopy and frame provide a clean reflective finish that pairs with both traditional and contemporary interiors, while the 4kg combined weight of metal, crystal and fabric gives the fitting a substantial presence without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings in most UK properties. The chandelier accepts any E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W per fitting, sold separately, and is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

What bulbs does the Freida take?

The chandelier takes six E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for a soft ambient glow through the organza shade.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E14 bulbs and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. The fixture itself supports dimming, but the bulbs and dimmer must also be compatible with each other.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 1040mm means the chandelier works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. For dining tables, the fitting typically hangs 700-900mm above the table surface, requiring a ceiling height of at least 2.8m to avoid head clearance issues when standing.

How is the organza shade cleaned?

The white organza shade attracts dust over time. Remove dust with a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to low power, or wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For the crystal strands, wipe each strand individually with a barely-damp lint-free cloth and dry immediately to avoid water spots.
