Description

The Fradelo is a square LED flush ceiling light in chrome, 52cm long, 52cm wide and only 9.5cm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling where a pendant would hang too low. Four square frames fill its face, each holding a smaller square at its centre, and their crystal-effect edges sparkle against a chrome-finished steel body. The light source is integrated LED, drawing 46.5W and giving 5,500 lumens of warm white light at 3000K. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.

That is a generous output for a single fitting, well suited to a hallway, a landing or a living room where you want the whole space lit from the centre of the ceiling. The slim profile keeps headroom clear on ceilings of ordinary height, and the square outline sits neatly in line with the walls of a hall or a square room. Because the LEDs are integrated, there are no bulbs to buy or change, and nothing hangs down into the room to catch a tall visitor's head. It suits anyone who wants plenty of bright, warm light with a little sparkle, in a shape that still looks crisp and tidy by day.

The body is steel and the shades pair plastic with brilliant glass, in chrome and clear, which is what gives each frame its textured, crystal-effect edge. The light is not dimmable and has no switch of its own, so it runs from your wall switch; if a dimmer matters, this is not the one to choose. As a wired-in mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 4.697KG, a figure worth knowing when you plan the fitting.
