Description

The ESP Fort is a Wi-Fi-controlled smart plug combining a 13A UK mains socket with one USB-A and one USB-C charging port, all controlled through the Click Smart+ app. The plug connects to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks and allows remote switching, scheduling and power monitoring from a smartphone, making it possible to control lamps, fans, phone chargers and other household devices without being in the room.

Designed for homes and small offices where remote control or automation of appliances is useful, the Fort fits a standard UK mains socket and adds smart functionality without rewiring. The app allows scheduling to switch devices on or off at set times, automation to trigger the plug in response to other Click Smart+ devices, and remote monitoring to check whether a device is currently drawing power. The 13A socket handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W, while the USB ports provide convenient charging for phones, tablets and other USB-powered devices.

The compact 77mm x 54mm x 66mm body projects approximately 66mm from the wall socket once plugged in, making it suitable for wall sockets behind furniture or at skirting level without blocking adjacent sockets. The white finish blends into most wall colours and the rounded profile avoids sharp edges. The plug requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during setup and ongoing use — it does not operate on 5GHz networks.

What Wi-Fi is required?

The Fort requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for setup and operation. It does not connect to 5GHz networks. Most home routers broadcast both frequencies, so check your router settings to confirm 2.4GHz is enabled.

Can it be controlled remotely when away from home?

Yes. Once connected to your Wi-Fi network and set up in the Click Smart+ app, the Fort can be controlled from anywhere with an internet connection on your smartphone.

What's the USB charging output?

The USB-A and USB-C ports provide charging for phones, tablets and other USB devices. Exact output ratings are listed in the Product Specification Sheet in the Downloads tab above.

Can it automate with other smart home devices?

The Fort integrates with other Click Smart+ app devices, allowing automation triggers between products in the same ecosystem. Check the Click Smart+ app documentation for specific automation capabilities and compatible devices.
