Description
The Forma is a 680mm table lamp built around a rectangular column of textured black marble, set on a stepped brushed brass plinth and topped with a rectangular white PVC shade. A single E27 lamp socket sits behind the shade, finished off with a brass spherical finial that echoes the warm metal tones of the base.
Designed for sideboards, console tables and bedroom dressers, the Forma reads as a sculptural object as much as a light source. The 390mm length and 180mm depth give the base a substantial footprint, suiting surfaces of 600mm depth or more. With the shade in place the lamp stands at full 680mm height, comfortable for bedside use beside a standard 500-550mm divan or tall enough to balance a deep console behind a sofa.
The black marble column shows pronounced surface texture and natural pitting rather than the polished veining typical of cut marble, giving the stone a more rugged, geological character. The contrast between the matte black stone and the warm brushed brass plinth, neck and finial is the central design idea: weight and texture below, refinement above. The white PVC shade caps the composition with a clean horizontal line, diffusing the E27 bulb into soft ambient light.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Forma take?
The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this style of shaded lamp with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedside or sideboard light.
Does the marble vary between pieces?
Yes. The black marble column is cut from natural stone, so the surface texture, pitting and tonal variation differ between individual lamps. The pronounced texture is a feature of the material rather than a finish defect.
What size surface does it suit?
The base measures 390mm long by 180mm deep, so the lamp sits comfortably on surfaces of 600mm depth or more such as console tables, sideboards and dressers. Standard 450mm-deep bedside tables will accommodate the lamp but with limited surface left for other items.
How is the marble cleaned?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household sprays, chemical cleaners and acidic liquids, which can etch or stain natural marble.
