Description
The Knightsbridge flex outlet module is a single-width Grid component that accepts flexible cable up to 10mm in diameter, providing a clean exit point for appliance leads, table lamp cords and extension cables through a wall-mounted Grid panel. The module measures 24.8mm wide and clips into Knightsbridge Grid mounting frames (sold separately) without requiring screws or additional fixings.
Designed for kitchens, home offices and workshop installations where appliances need to be hardwired behind a modular faceplate, the module sits flush with the Grid frame and presents a circular cable aperture on a matt white faceplate. The 10mm maximum cable diameter accommodates most standard UK appliance flexes including kettles, microwaves, desk lamps and audio equipment, while smaller cables (down to 3-4mm) can also pass through the aperture.
The module body is made from ABS plastic with a steel mounting clip on the rear, and the matt white finish matches the standard Knightsbridge Grid range. The front-clip design means modules can be swapped or repositioned without removing the mounting frame from the wall, making Grid configurations easy to adapt as wiring needs change. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations; the module is not rated for bathroom zones or outdoor use.

Frequently Asked
What size cable does this module accept?
The circular aperture accepts flexible cable up to 10mm in diameter. This covers most standard UK appliance flexes including kettles, microwaves, desk lamps and small kitchen appliances. Cables smaller than 10mm can also pass through the aperture.
Do I need to buy a mounting frame separately?
Yes. This is a Grid module only. You need a Knightsbridge Grid mounting frame (1-gang, 2-gang, 3-gang or 4-gang depending on your installation) and a compatible Grid faceplate. The module clips into the frame from the front once the frame is fixed to the wall.
What back box depth is required?
A minimum 35mm back box depth is needed. The module itself has a recessed depth of 22.6mm, and the Grid mounting frame adds further depth depending on the frame model.
Can this be used in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. The IP20 rating means this module is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones (which require IP44 or higher) or outdoor use.
