Description

This Knightsbridge Grid flex outlet module provides a safe exit point for flexible cables up to 10mm in diameter through a matt black ABS faceplate. The module measures 24.8mm wide (single grid width) and clips into Knightsbridge Grid mounting frames from the front, allowing flexible cable runs for appliances, lights or equipment to pass through the wall plate without damaging the cable insulation.

Designed for use within the Knightsbridge Grid modular wiring system, the flex outlet works in kitchens for small appliances, workshops for power tools, and offices for desk equipment where a fixed cable needs to pass through a wall plate rather than terminating at a socket. The circular outlet aperture accommodates cable diameters from 4mm to 10mm, which covers standard UK appliance flex and most equipment power leads.

The module requires a separate Knightsbridge Grid mounting frame (sold separately) and a minimum 35mm back box depth. The matt black finish coordinates with other Knightsbridge Grid modules in the same finish, allowing a consistent appearance across multi-gang Grid assemblies combining switches, sockets, USB ports and other modules. The ABS and steel construction carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor use and a 25-year warranty.

Do I need a separate mounting frame?

Yes. This module clips into a Knightsbridge Grid mounting frame, which is sold separately. The mounting frame fixes to the back box and holds the individual modules in position.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 35mm back box depth is needed for safe installation. The module itself has a recessed depth of 22.6mm and projects 4mm from the wall once fitted.

Can this be combined with other Grid modules?

Yes. The Knightsbridge Grid system allows multiple modules (switches, sockets, USB ports, flex outlets) to be combined in a single mounting frame. This module occupies one grid width (24.8mm), so a 2-gang frame can hold two modules, a 3-gang frame can hold three, and so on.
