Description

The Knightsbridge flex outlet module accepts cables up to 10mm diameter through a circular aperture in a white ABS faceplate. Part of the Knightsbridge Grid modular system, the module clips into position from the front of a separate mounting frame without tools, allowing flex cable to pass from the back box through to the front of the wall plate for desk lamps, small appliances or trailing leads.

Designed for residential and office installations where appliance cables need to exit a wall plate cleanly rather than looping over a standard socket, the module suits desk positions, worktops and locations where a cable run needs to be concealed inside the wall rather than surface-mounted. The 10mm aperture accommodates most standard UK appliance flex including desk lamp cord, laptop power cables and small kitchen appliance leads. The module requires a Knightsbridge Grid mounting frame (sold separately) which fixes to a standard 35mm minimum back box.

The white UREA finish matches Knightsbridge's standard white grid plates and modules, giving a consistent appearance across mixed-function installations. The ABS construction provides impact resistance and dimensional stability across typical domestic temperature ranges. The module measures 56.3mm tall by 24.8mm wide, occupying a single grid position in multi-module frames that can combine switches, sockets, flex outlets and other Grid accessories on a single faceplate.

Frequently Asked

What is a flex outlet module used for?

A flex outlet module allows appliance cables to pass through a wall plate rather than running across the surface. This is useful for desk lamps, laptop chargers or small kitchen appliances where the cable enters the wall at the point of use rather than trailing from a socket elsewhere in the room.

What cable diameter does it accept?

The circular aperture accepts cables up to 10mm diameter. Most standard UK appliance flex is between 5mm and 8mm, so the module accommodates typical desk lamp cord, laptop power cables and similar.

Do I need a separate mounting frame?

Yes. The module clips into a Knightsbridge Grid mounting frame which is sold separately. The frame fixes to a 35mm minimum back box and accepts one or more Grid modules side-by-side to create a custom combination of switches, sockets and flex outlets on a single faceplate.

Can multiple modules be fitted together?

Yes. Knightsbridge Grid frames are available in 1-gang, 2-gang, 3-gang and larger configurations. You can combine this flex outlet module with other Grid modules such as switches, USB sockets, data ports or additional flex outlets on the same frame.
