Description

This is a wide, generous serving bowl in stoneware, 27cm across and 8.5cm tall, holding 3000ml. Inside, fine ribs radiate from the base to the rim like a sunburst, and the reactive glaze pools in the grooves so each line catches the light. At the centre the glaze settles into a speckled, pitted pool, and the rim carries a darker edge. The outside is smooth and softly mottled in beige, so it looks as good from the side on a shelf as it does from above on the table.

At 3000ml it is a sharing size rather than a single portion: the bowl you reach for with a big salad, roasted vegetables turned out for the table, pasta for everyone or a pile of fruit in the middle of the kitchen worktop.
