Description

The Eveready C7 is a 7W incandescent pygmy bulb with an E14 small screw base, emitting 50 lumens of warm white light at 2200K. The low wattage and colour temperature produce a soft amber glow suited to nightlights, bedside lamps, salt lamps and decorative accent fixtures where full room illumination is not needed.

Designed for continuous overnight use in hallways, children's bedrooms, nurseries and landing areas, the C7 provides enough light to navigate safely without disturbing sleep or producing glare. The E14 base fits most UK nightlight fittings and small decorative lamps. The bulb is not dimmable and operates at full 7W output when switched on.

Each pack contains two bulbs, giving a replacement when the first reaches end of life or allowing matching pairs in symmetrical fittings. The pygmy shape measures approximately 35mm in diameter and 70mm in total length including the E14 base. At 2200K the light sits at the warmer end of the incandescent spectrum, appearing more amber than the standard 2700K household bulb, which makes it particularly suitable for low-light environments where a calming tone is preferred over task visibility.

Frequently Asked

What is the C7 bulb typically used for?

C7 pygmy bulbs are designed for nightlights, bedside lamps, salt lamps, and low-output accent fixtures where soft background light is needed rather than task illumination. The 50-lumen output is sufficient for safe navigation in hallways and landings overnight without producing glare.

Is this bulb dimmable?

No. The Eveready C7 operates at full 7W output when switched on and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

How does 2200K compare to standard warm white bulbs?

2200K sits at the warmer, more amber end of the warm white range. Standard household warm white bulbs are typically 2700K-3000K. The lower kelvin temperature produces a softer, more orange-toned glow that is less stimulating in evening and overnight environments.

What is the lamp life expectancy?

Incandescent pygmy bulbs typically last 1,000-1,500 hours depending on operating conditions. At 8 hours per night this equates to approximately 4-6 months of continuous use.
