The Esme is a 26cm cast aluminium vase with a heart-shaped aperture cut through its spherical body, finished in polished silver. The piece reads more as sculpture than functional vessel — the heart cut-out leaves the interior exposed and the aluminium is not sealed, so it cannot hold water. It functions as a display object rather than a working vase.

Designed for mantels, console tables, shelving and display cabinets where three-dimensional form matters more than practical storage, the Esme offers a 24cm height that sits comfortably in front of mirrors or alongside books without blocking sight lines. The spherical body tapers slightly towards the base, giving the piece visual weight without making it tip-prone. The heart aperture catches light from different angles as the viewing position changes, turning the negative space into part of the composition.

Cast aluminium allows for the continuous curve of the sphere and the clean edges of the heart cut-out without visible seams or joins. The silver finish is left raw rather than lacquered, so it will develop a natural patina over time unless polished.
