Description

The Epifano is a slim LED flood light for the outside of the house: a white rectangular panel with softly rounded corners. The body is aluminium and the front is white plastic, so the whole fitting reads as one clean white shape against a painted or rendered wall. It is 35cm long, 22.4cm wide and 22.4cm high, and the light source is integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It is rated IP65, which means it is sealed against dust and protected from jets of water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall all year.

With an output of 23,000lm, this is a light for a wide area rather than a doorway: a driveway, the front of a garage, a yard or a large garden. Fixed high under the eaves, it throws a broad wash of light across the ground, so coming home after dark is easy and the approach to the house is clear. The colour temperature is given as 3000K, 4000K and 6500K. That span runs from a warm white that sits kindly beside brick and timber to a crisp, cool daylight white. The white finish suits pale render, white window frames and modern cladding, and disappears against a light wall by day.

Aluminium is a light metal that does not rust, and at 1.55KG this one is easy to handle during installation. The front is smooth white plastic framed by a slim rounded edge, and the head is carried on a jointed bracket with a knurled knob. It runs on mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz and has an energy class of D. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download, so they can be read before the work is booked.
