Description
A wide, low planter in reclaimed iron, 31cm tall and 38cm across. The wall runs out from a rolled rim, widening steadily to a shoulder set low on the body, then turns sharply in and curves under to a small base, so the pot carries its bulk near the ground. The black is worn and has rubbed back to raw gold metal all along the turn at the bottom, and the surface holds scratches, dents and pale marks from the metal it came from.
It stands outdoors beside the larger Endo planter, which takes a rubber plant. It is listed as suitable for outdoor use, so it takes a terrace, a doorstep or the edge of a path as readily as a hall or a hearth indoors. The opening is narrower than the widest point of the body, so a nursery pot set inside drops below the rim and out of sight. At 3.1kg empty it is rolled sheet rather than cast, and it lifts with one hand before it is planted.
The iron is recycled, gathered from old storage drums and worked into the pot, which is why the black sits unevenly and the gold comes through where the metal has been handled. No two finishes come out the same. Endo runs to a larger planter at 39cm tall and 48cm across, and to globe planters, hanging planters, planter stands and vases in the same reclaimed iron.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
31cm tall and 38cm across at its widest. The larger Endo planter is 39cm tall and 48cm across.
Can it go outside?
Yes. It is listed as suitable for outdoor use.
Will every one look the same?
Not exactly. The iron is reclaimed and the finish is distressed, so no two come out the same and the pattern of wear differs from pot to pot.
What else is in the Endo range?
A larger planter, globe planters, hanging planters, planter stands and vases, all in the same reclaimed iron.
How do I look after it?
Store it away or bring it inside for the winter months, and clean it at least twice a year with warm soapy water so dust, dirt and mould do not build up. The materials are natural and the pot is made by hand, so expect the colour to vary.
