Elissa is a small stoneware vase made as a sleeping face: closed eyes with fine lashes drawn into the clay, a raised nose that stands proud of the surface and a quiet little smile. Across the crown, a cluster of petal and teardrop openings is cut right through the stoneware, so the top holds each stem apart and upright on its own. It measures 15.5cm long, 10cm wide and 14.5cm tall, a slim oval rather than a full ball, and weighs 0.5KG.
