Description

Eddi is a rattan storage basket woven in the shape of a dinosaur, with a rounded body, a head that rises at one end and a tail that sweeps out at the other. A row of woven spines runs down its back, a short arm sits on each side and little clawed feet peek out at the base, all picked out in a contrasting weave against the natural rattan, with a small woven eye on each side of the head. It is made of 100% rattan and measures 57cm long, 37cm wide and 48cm tall, so this is a generous floor basket rather than a box for a shelf.

Its place is the floor of a children's room or playroom, where the open top makes it quick to drop in soft toys, dolls, a folded blanket or a quilt at the end of the day. The head rises above the rim like a hood, so whatever sits inside is partly tucked behind it, and there is no lid to lift.
