Description

The Ecliptus is a 5m 24V LED strip light delivering 40W of cool white 4000K illumination across its length. The strip itself is 10mm wide and runs on low-voltage DC, requiring a separate 24V driver (sold separately). The integrated LEDs cannot be replaced but carry a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux against premature failure.

Designed for under-cabinet lighting, cove lighting, alcove accent lighting and display case installation, the strip operates on 24V DC to reduce the risk of electric shock during handling and installation compared to mains-voltage alternatives. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only — kitchens, living rooms, wardrobes, retail displays and offices where moisture ingress is not a concern. The dimmable function requires a compatible 24V LED dimmer module between the driver and the strip.

The 4000K colour temperature sits in the cool white range, producing a neutral-to-slightly-cool tone that suits task lighting and commercial settings where colour accuracy matters — workbenches, kitchen prep areas, offices and retail environments. The 10mm width allows the strip to fit into tight channels and aluminium profiles without visible light source gaps. The silicone construction provides some flexibility for routing around corners and along curves, though tight-radius bends can cause uneven light distribution.
