Description

The Duceri flush mounting kit is a white metal frame designed for recessing ESP's EMLED3WMBULK2 and EMLED5WMBULK emergency bulkhead fittings into plasterboard or similar ceiling and wall constructions. The kit measures 403 x 165 x 40mm and provides a clean, flush-fitted appearance where surface-mounted emergency lighting would protrude too far or clash with the interior finish.

Designed for installation in commercial, industrial and residential settings where emergency lighting must comply with BS 5266 or local fire safety regulations, the kit allows the bulkhead to sit level with the ceiling or wall surface. The metal construction supports the weight of the emergency fitting and distributes load across the mounting points, while the white finish matches the factory colour of the ESP bulkheads it is designed to accommodate.

The frame fits between ceiling joists or within stud wall cavities, with the bulkhead then clipping or fixing into the recessed frame. This allows the emergency light to be installed flush in corridors, stairwells, lobbies and other circulation spaces where a protruding fitting would reduce headroom or be vulnerable to impact. The 40mm depth of the kit means it can be accommodated in standard 50mm ceiling voids or 75mm stud walls without requiring additional structural modification.

What ceiling or wall depth is required?

The kit is 40mm deep, so it requires a minimum ceiling void or stud wall depth of 50mm to allow clearance for wiring and fixing. Standard 50mm plasterboard ceiling constructions and 75mm stud walls typically provide sufficient depth.

Is the bulkhead included with the kit?

No. The kit is the recessed mounting frame only. The emergency bulkhead fitting (EMLED3WMBULK2 or EMLED5WMBULK) must be purchased separately.

Yes. The kit can be fitted into wall cavities as well as ceiling voids, provided the wall construction offers the necessary depth and structural support for the combined weight of the frame and bulkhead.
