Description

Diza is a tall candle holder in brown aluminium, its stem formed as a tight spiral that climbs from a round disc base to a single candle socket at the top. It stands 30cm tall and 10cm across, the height of a proper table candlestick rather than a low tealight holder, so it lifts the flame well clear of the surface on which it sits. The finish is glossy, and light runs along every ridge of the twist, which means the column catches the eye even before the candle is lit. It is made entirely of aluminium and weighs 0.78KG.

Its height suits a side table beside an armchair, a mantelpiece, a sideboard or a dining table laid for an evening with friends, where a tall candle gives a soft point of light without crowding the table. It also earns its place on an open shelf or a stepped display among vases and sculptural pieces, where the spiral adds height and movement to a group of lower objects. On its own it fits a narrow surface such as a windowsill or the corner of a desk; several lined in a row give a more formal rhythm. It suits anyone who likes a little shape and colour in a room without clutter, and it makes a thoughtful housewarming gift.

The holder is 100% aluminium, a metal that does not rust, with a glossy brown finish that deepens the shadows in each turn of the twist. The round base is broad and flat, giving the slim stem a wide footing on a table or shelf, and the socket at the top holds one candle upright. For styling, the brown sits warmly against pale walls, natural wood and woven textiles, and a plain candle in a soft neutral lets the spiral take the attention. The styling props shown are not included.
