Description
The Knightsbridge diplexed TV/FM DAB outlet module combines a TV aerial outlet and an FM/DAB radio outlet in a single 50 x 50mm black ABS module. The module is fully screened to EN 50083-2, providing low signal loss, minimal electromagnetic ingress and negligible cross-talk between the TV and FM/DAB circuits. The TV outlet uses a male coaxial connection, while the FM/DAB outlet uses a female connection.
Designed for modular grid systems in residential and commercial installations, the module fits standard 50mm grid plates and requires a minimum mounting box depth of 35mm behind the wall surface. The rear of the module uses clamp and screw terminals to accept cables with 1mm conductors, covering cable types such as PF100, H109F and QF100. The separate TV and FM/DAB connections allow a single wall outlet to serve both a television and a DAB radio without requiring two separate faceplates.
The black ABS construction matches other modules in the Knightsbridge grid range, allowing the diplexed outlet to be combined with switches, sockets, USB ports and blanking plates on the same grid plate. The IP20 rating confirms the module is suitable for dry indoor locations. The fully screened design maintains signal quality across both the TV and FM/DAB paths, preventing interference from external sources and cross-contamination between the two circuits within the module itself.

Frequently Asked
What does diplexed mean in this context?
Diplexed means the module combines two separate signal paths — one for TV aerial signals and one for FM/DAB radio signals — in a single outlet. This allows both a television and a DAB radio to be connected to the same wall plate without interference between the two circuits.
What back box depth is required?
A minimum mounting box depth of 35mm is required behind the wall surface. The module itself has a recessed depth of 31mm, but additional clearance is needed for cable connections at the rear.
What cable types are compatible?
The clamp and screw terminals accept cables with 1mm conductors, including PF100, H109F and QF100 coaxial cable types. These are standard domestic and commercial aerial cable specifications.
Can this module be combined with other grid modules?
Yes. The 50 x 50mm format fits standard Knightsbridge grid plates, allowing the diplexed outlet to be installed alongside other modules such as light switches, sockets, USB ports and blanking plates on the same faceplate.
