Description

The Davika is a wall light on a jointed arm: a round brass plate, a short link out to a knuckle, a longer section to a second knuckle, and a fluted glass cone hanging from the end with the wide opening down. Both joints carry a screw, so the arm folds back against the wall or swings out and the shade turns with it. The glass is clear and ribbed the whole way from the rim to the top. It is 20cm tall and 11.5cm wide, and the arm reaches 36cm.

Two joints put it where a fixed light cannot go: folded in close beside a bed, or swung out over a chair to put light on a page. It takes one E14 bulb up to 25W, it works on a dimmer, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

The shade is glass made from waste glass, collected and washed, then crushed, melted and blown by hand into a mould, which is what forms the flutes. The arm and the plate are aluminium and brass under an antique brass finish.
