Description
Our Cynthia vase is made from 100% glass, mouth-blown and finished in a glossy beige. Its outline is built from three soft, rounded forms stacked one on another: a broad, low body, a ball-shaped neck and a domed stopper shaped like a small mushroom, which sits in the opening. It is 21cm tall and 15cm across and weighs 0.6KG, a compact size for a shelf, a side table or a windowsill. With the stopper in place it reads as a glass sculpture; with the stopper removed, the neck becomes the opening for a stem.
The narrow neck suits a single stem or a few slender ones rather than a full bunch. Glass holds water, so a fresh sprig works as well as a dried branch or a few dried leaves. On a coffee table or sideboard in the living room it sits comfortably beside books and other low pieces, and on a bedside table or dressing table it brings a gentle curve to a small surface. Because it needs no flowers to look finished, it also makes an easy gift for anyone who likes soft, rounded shapes in their home.
Mouth-blown glass is shaped with a glassblower's breath, and no two pieces come out quite alike, so the curves and the depth of the beige may differ slightly from one vase to the next. The glossy surface catches window light and softens under a lamp in the evening. For styling, set it among matt pieces, such as a linen lampshade or a stack of books, so the shine stands apart, and keep the stopper close at hand for the weeks between stems.

Frequently Asked
Does the stopper come out of the vase?
Yes. The mushroom-shaped stopper sits in the neck and can be taken out whenever you want to add a stem, then replaced when the vase stands empty as a decorative piece.
How big is the Cynthia vase?
It is 21cm tall and 15cm across and weighs 0.6KG, a compact size for a shelf, a bedside table or the centre of a coffee table.
What is the vase made of?
It is made from 100% glass, mouth-blown and finished in a glossy beige, so the surface has a soft shine that catches the light.
Will my vase look exactly the same as every other one?
Not quite. Mouth-blown glass varies slightly from piece to piece, so the curves and the depth of the beige can differ a little between vases.
Can it hold fresh flowers?
Yes. Glass holds water, and the narrow neck suits a single fresh or dried stem, or a few slender ones, rather than a full bouquet.
What do I receive with the vase?
No extras. What you receive is the glass vase together with its stopper; the styling props shown are not included.
