Description
The Coniston is a 540mm diameter crystal chandelier built around nine E14 bulb fittings arranged within an antique brass dome frame, draped with rows of precision-cut clear crystal strands. The dome structure sits 770-2290mm below the ceiling on an adjustable chain, allowing the chandelier to be positioned between 1m and 2.5m depending on ceiling height and room scale.
Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height spaces with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Coniston functions as both a light source and a focal feature. The nine bulbs (sold separately, maximum 20W each) cast light through and around the crystal strands, creating refracted sparkle across walls and ceilings when lit. The antique brass finish on the frame and canopy provides a warmer, aged metallic tone that contrasts with polished brass or chrome alternatives, pairing well with traditional, transitional and warm-toned classical interiors.
Each crystal strand is facet-cut to maximise light refraction, and the layered arrangement creates depth when viewed from below. The 20kg weight includes both the brass frame and the full crystal load, so the ceiling rose and fixing must be rated to support this mass safely. The chandelier requires a qualified electrician for installation due to the chain adjustment, cable routing and weight considerations. Once fitted, the antique brass patina develops further tonal variation over time, deepening the aged character of the finish.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take and are they included?
The Coniston requires nine E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs, each rated up to 20W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to replicate traditional chandelier warmth.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, provided you pair it with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier itself does not include dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulbs chosen.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 770mm plus the 540mm diameter means the chandelier needs at least 2.5m ceiling height to avoid head clearance issues in circulation areas. For dining tables or entrance halls, ceiling heights of 3m or above allow the chandelier to be positioned with appropriate visual balance.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Turn off power at the mains before cleaning. Wipe each crystal strand individually with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the brass frame or the crystal mounting clips. Do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on either the brass or the crystal.
