The Congiunti is an LED flush ceiling light built from a pair of interlocking rings, one held level and the other set at a tilt, both in polished chrome steel and lined with white plastic diffusers that carry the light. It hangs from a round chrome canopy on a short stem and measures 46.5cm long, 28cm wide and 14cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling and keeps headroom clear. The light source is integrated LED, drawing 12W while giving 1,500lm, a bright output for a main ceiling light. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms.

We would hang it in a living room, bedroom, hallway, dining room or study, anywhere a plain disc overhead feels flat. The open rings let you see the ceiling through them, so the fitting never looks heavy, and the mirror-bright chrome reflects the colours around it, sitting well in grey, white and neutral schemes. The real gain is the choice of colour temperature. With three settings chosen at the light, you can pick 2700K for a warm glow in a lounge or bedroom, 4000K for a crisper neutral white in a kitchen or home office, or 6500K for a cool daylight white for close work. The same fitting suits whichever mood the room needs.

Because it is not dimmable, the Congiunti works from an ordinary wall switch rather than a dimmer, and it gives its full 1,500lm whenever the LEDs are lit. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and carries an energy class of E. As a wired-in mains light it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
