Description

The Colette is an 80cm circular LED pendant light built from an aluminium ring frame finished in polished chrome, with opal silicone diffusers wrapping the inner edge of the ring. An integrated 65W LED runs continuously around the circle, casting 3000K warm white light through the opal silicone to produce diffused ambient illumination without visible hotspots or individual LED points.

Designed for dining rooms, large kitchens and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m, the Colette hangs on adjustable cables allowing the drop to be set between 60cm and 140cm during installation. The dimmable LED driver is controlled via a wall-mounted dimmer switch (sold separately), giving control over light output from full brightness down to low ambient levels suitable for evening dining or background lighting.

The polished chrome finish on the aluminium frame provides reflective accents that catch and throw light back into the room, while the opal silicone diffuser softens the LED output and creates a consistent glow around the full 80cm circumference. The 2.4kg fitting mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose via a circular chrome canopy 10cm in diameter, with the three suspension cables concealing the electrical feed. The circular form suits square and rectangular dining tables equally, providing overhead light without the directional bias of a linear pendant.

Is the Colette dimmable?

Yes. The integrated 65W LED is controlled by a dimmable driver. You will need to install a compatible trailing-edge or LED-rated dimmer switch on the wall circuit. The dimmer switch is not included with the fitting.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The drop is adjustable between 60cm and 140cm on installation. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 70-80cm above the table surface, so the fitting works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m to 3.2m. The cables can be shortened if needed for lower ceilings.

What size table does an 80cm pendant suit?

An 80cm circular pendant typically works over tables between 120cm and 180cm in length. For tables longer than 180cm, consider two Colette pendants spaced evenly, or a larger linear pendant.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

The Colette uses three adjustable suspension cables, which allows some degree of levelling on gently sloped ceilings. For ceilings with more than 15° slope, you may need an adapter canopy designed for angled mounting. Contact us for advice on specific ceiling configurations.
