The Hinkley Coastal is a small outdoor wall light built around a white tapered cone shade mounted at an angle on a square white canopy, directing light downward. The fitting measures 154mm high by 127mm wide with a 161mm projection from the wall, housing a single GU10 LED bulb (included) rated at 8W maximum. The textured white powder-coated finish covers both the steel canopy and the composite shade.

Designed for covered entrances, porch areas, and pathway lighting where a compact downward-facing fitting is needed, the Coastal suits contemporary facades, rendered exteriors and coastal-style properties. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for locations under eaves, covered patios and vertical wall positions where the fitting does not face direct rain or prolonged exposure. The angled shade creates a shadow line on the wall during the day and casts a defined pool of light downward after dark.

The white finish is textured rather than gloss, which reduces surface reflection in daylight and hides minor dust or salt buildup in coastal locations better than smooth paint. Is the Coastal suitable for fully exposed outdoor positions?

The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for covered positions under eaves, porches and patios. It is not rated for prolonged direct rain or submersion, so avoid using it in fully exposed vertical positions without overhead cover.

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The fitting ships with a GU10 LED bulb pre-installed, rated at 8W maximum. Replacement bulbs are standard GU10 fittings available separately.

Can the light direction be adjusted?

No. The cone shade is fixed at a downward angle on the canopy. The fitting is designed to cast light directly downward onto the ground or wall below, with no adjustable joint.

What wall surface does the textured white finish suit?

The white finish pairs well with painted render, white or pale brick, weatherboard cladding and most contemporary or coastal-style exteriors. The textured surface reduces glare and hides minor marks better than gloss white.
