Description

The Clea side table is made entirely of marble, from its square top to its base, and the top is what gives it its character: bands of a darker, more strongly veined marble run across the beige stone, so the surface reads as striped rather than plain. It measures 36cm long, 36cm wide and 40cm tall, and it weighs 23KG, which tells you it is solid stone through and through and will stay where you put it.

At 40cm tall it is a low table, the right height to sit beside a sofa, a lounge chair or a reading chair in the living room, with a lamp, a stack of books or a plant kept within reach. It works just as well as a bedside table next to a low bed, or as a small stand in a hallway for keys and post. The square top gives you a neat surface to arrange on, and it holds up to 20KG, which leaves room for a potted plant or a pile of art books.

Underneath, the base is two flat marble slabs set at right angles to each other, so the top rests on a crossed footing rather than four legs, with the veining running down each slab.
