Description

This is a generous stoneware bowl made for popcorn, and it says so: the word POPCORN is lettered in capitals across the front, over hand-painted vertical stripes on a cream body. Inside, the pattern changes to scattered painted dots that run down the walls and across the base, so there is still something to look at as the bowl empties. It measures 17.5cm across and 13.5cm tall and holds 1900ml, which makes it a sharing bowl rather than a single helping, deep enough to pile high. The rim is gently scalloped, and the sides taper towards the base like a cinema carton.
