Description

This is a round side table made entirely from iron, with a flat circular top 43cm across and a height of 38cm. What makes it itself is the base: one straight panel drops to the floor on one side, while a single sheet of metal curves down from the opposite edge and sweeps round underneath in a deep U. That curve leaves an open cradle beneath the top, just the right shape for a short row of books standing on their ends. The whole piece is black, from the top surface to the foot of each support.

Place it beside a sofa or an armchair in the living room, where the top takes a reading lamp, a few candles or a small vase and the curve beneath holds the books you are working through. At 38cm tall it sits low, so it pairs well with low seating, a lounge chair or a floor cushion, and it can stand beside a bed where the mattress sits close to the floor.
