Description
This artificial cedar garland is made to look like a long, trailing bough cut from a cedar tree. It is 200cm long and 20cm wide. Clusters of fine needles spring from a central stem along its whole length, and the needles have a frosted look, as though a light frost has settled on their tips. The green is soft and muted rather than bright. It is made of 90% polyethylene and 10% iron and weighs 0.58KG, so it is a light piece to drape along a stair rail or hang from a hook.
A garland of this length is at its best on a staircase. Wound loosely along the banister, it can trail its last branches down past the newel post, which is how we like it in a hall at Christmas. It sits just as happily laid along a mantelpiece, across the top of a dresser or bookcase, or along a deep windowsill, wherever you want a run of winter greenery through the festive weeks. Because it is artificial there is nothing to water, and with careful handling it can be packed away and brought out again the following December.
The garland has a spray-coloured finish. The needles are fine, so the maker asks that you handle it with care to avoid breaking them. Before use, the stems are to be trimmed and folded into place, so set aside a few minutes to bend the branches outwards and shape each cluster until the garland looks full and natural. There is a small loop at one end, handy for hooking it over a newel post or a nail. For styling, keep the rest simple: on a painted banister or a plain mantelpiece the frosted green does the work on its own, and a stocking or a few wrapped presents nearby are all it needs.

Frequently Asked
How long is this cedar garland?
It is 200cm long and 20cm wide, a length we like for draping along a staircase banister or laying along a mantelpiece.
What is the garland made of?
It is made of 90% polyethylene and 10% iron, with a spray-coloured finish, and it weighs 0.58KG.
Is it a real cedar garland?
No. It is an artificial garland shaped to look like cedar, so there is nothing to water and it can be packed away after Christmas.
Does it need any preparation before I hang it?
Yes. The maker asks that the stems be trimmed and folded into place before use, so bend the branches out and shape each cluster of needles until it looks full.
How should I look after it?
The needles are fine, so the maker asks that you handle the garland with care to avoid breaking them, both when hanging it and when packing it away.
What do I receive?
You receive the garland itself, with a small loop at one end for hooking it in place. The styling props shown are not included.
