Description
The Knightsbridge NETC6A is a single CAT6A unshielded RJ45 outlet module in a 25 x 50mm black format designed for euro-module faceplates. The module supports data transfer up to 10Gbps over 100m runs using certified UTP CAT6A cabling, providing 500MHz bandwidth for high-throughput network installations.
Designed for residential and commercial network installations, the module fits standard modular faceplates and grid systems, allowing multiple data, voice and electrical outlets to be combined in a single plate. The shuttered RJ45 socket protects the contacts when no cable is inserted, preventing dust ingress and accidental contact with terminals. The IDC terminals on the rear accept 16-20 AWG solid-core cable using toolless punch-down termination, fitting standard 25mm minimum back box depths with 15mm recessed clearance.
The module conforms to ANSI/TIA/EIA 568B.2-10 Category 6A specifications, delivering reduced crosstalk compared to CAT6 and CAT5e. The ABS construction and IP20 rating suit dry interior environments. The module is backwards compatible with CAT6 and CAT5e networks, though the data transfer rate will be limited by the lowest-category component in the link. The enhanced PoE capability makes the module suitable for smart home devices, IP cameras, access points and VoIP phones requiring power-over-Ethernet delivery.

Frequently Asked
What is the difference between CAT6A and CAT6?
CAT6A supports 10Gbps data transfer over 100m runs with 500MHz bandwidth, while CAT6 typically supports 10Gbps only over shorter runs (up to 55m) with 250MHz bandwidth. CAT6A also provides better crosstalk shielding for cleaner signal transmission in dense cable bundles.
What cable gauge does the IDC terminal accept?
The IDC terminals accept 16-20 AWG solid-core cable. Toolless punch-down termination is used to seat the conductors into the terminal block without requiring pre-stripping.
Is this module compatible with CAT5e or CAT6 networks?
Yes. The module is backwards compatible with CAT6 and CAT5e networks. However, the overall link speed will be limited by the lowest-category component in the run, so pairing this CAT6A module with CAT5e cable will not achieve 10Gbps speeds.
What faceplate systems does this fit?
The 25 x 50mm format fits standard euro-module faceplates and grid systems. Knightsbridge produces compatible faceplates in various finishes and gang configurations that accept this module size.
