Description

The Knightsbridge data outlet is a metalclad CAT6a RJ45 network point in textured sand black, terminating a screened data cable at a wall position.

It terminates a CAT6a data cable at a wall point, providing a screened RJ45 connection for high-speed Ethernet to computers, access points and AV equipment.

It is constructed from pressed steel, with an earth terminal for a compliant installation. It is certified to ISO/IEC 11801 and IP20 rated for indoor use.

CAT6a is an augmented Category 6 data cabling standard supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet over distances up to 100m, with improved crosstalk performance over CAT6.

How do you terminate an RJ45 keystone?

The cable pairs are punched down onto the keystone jack following the T568A or T568B colour code, then the jack clips into the faceplate aperture.

What back box depth does it need?

A standard 25mm-plus back box is suitable, allowing room for the cable bend radius behind the jack.
