Description

The Castello is a 40cm diameter white marble disc mounted vertically on a black powder-coated iron stand, standing 52cm tall. The disc is cut from natural white marble with grey and lilac veining running diagonally across the surface, creating organic patterning that differs from piece to piece. A central circular aperture allows the vertical support rod to pass through, suspending the disc at eye level when placed on a console or sideboard.

Designed as a freestanding ornament for shelves, mantels, console tables and bookcases, the Castello works as a focal point in minimalist and contemporary interiors where architectural forms carry decorative weight. Yes. Each disc is cut from natural white marble, so the veining pattern, intensity and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. Some show more pronounced grey or lilac veining, others present a cleaner white surface with minimal patterning.

Is the disc fixed to the stand or removable?

The disc sits on the vertical rod that passes through the central aperture. While not designed for frequent removal, the disc can be lifted off the rod for cleaning or repositioning if needed.

What width shelf does it need?

The rectangular base measures 10.5cm deep, so the Castello fits comfortably on shelves 15cm deep or wider. The 40cm disc diameter means the piece also needs at least 45cm of clear horizontal space to avoid overhanging the shelf edge.

How is the marble cleaned?

Marble is porous and can stain if exposed to liquids. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth for routine dusting. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, then dry immediately. Avoid household sprays, acidic cleaners or abrasive materials.
