Description

This small brown vase is made entirely of stoneware and stands 13.5cm tall, 10cm long and 7.5cm wide. Its shape is what sets it apart: a tall, narrow neck rises from a rounded, full belly, and two small ring handles sit at the shoulder like a pair of ears. Fine ridges circle the body from the foot to the rim, and the glaze breaks over them in streaks of deeper and lighter brown, catching the light with a soft sheen. At 0.25KG it is light enough to move from shelf to table whenever the mood takes you.

At this size it is a bud vase rather than a vase for a generous bouquet. The narrow neck gathers a single stem, a sprig of foliage or two or three dried grasses, which is exactly the scale that suits it.
