Description

Our Carlo Christmas decoration is a red postbox on its own stand, made for posting letters to Father Christmas. The box has a curved, slatted roof with a letter slot cut into the top. Its front carries a "Merry Christmas" greeting in a mix of capitals and flowing script, with a small wreath of foliage, pine cones and berries fixed beside it. It measures 26cm long, 18cm wide and 82cm tall, so it stands on the floor rather than on a shelf. It is made of 90% MDF, 5% fir wood and 5% polyester.

Set it in the hallway, beside the tree or next to the fireplace, wherever the family passes most in December. Children can write their letters, post them through the slot and wait for a reply. The small door at the back lets you collect the letters quietly once they are in bed. It works just as well at a Christmas party or a winter wedding, standing by the door to gather cards from guests. On a landing or in the corner of a living room, it adds a cheerful festive touch even with nothing inside.

The body is MDF, a dense, smooth board that takes paint evenly, and the curved roof is made up of slats that run along its length. At the back, a small door with a catch opens for emptying, and the box sits on a square-section post set into a square base.
