The Caminia is a slim steel floor lamp in a sand finish, with a ring of brushed brass around its fluted, cylindrical head. A thin stem rises from a round disc base, then bends at an angle partway along its height, carrying the head out to one side. It stands 158.5cm tall, measures 40.5cm long overall and 27cm wide, and the round base measures 27cm in diameter, so it needs very little floor space. The light source is a GU10, rated at 4.7W and giving 345lm, a gentle, directed light from the end of the head. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

Because the head reaches out from the stem, the lamp sits neatly beside an armchair or the end of a sofa and puts its light over the page of a book or a piece of knitting, while the base stays tucked out of the way. In a living room it turns a single chair into a reading corner, and in a home office it gives a softer, local light in the evening without the glare of a ceiling light.
