Description

Calvin is an advent calendar in the shape of a Christmas tree: a tall triangular frame with a star at the top and a short trunk at the base. Its shelves hold a little village of houses numbered 1 to 24, one for each day of the countdown, and each house has a small round knob on its front. It is made of 90% MDF and 10% plywood, measures 44cm long, 6cm wide and 61.5cm tall, and weighs 2.35KG, so it is a substantial piece to bring out each year rather than a card calendar used once and thrown away.

Being only 6cm wide, it stands upright on a mantelpiece, a sideboard or a deep windowsill, or on the floor beside the tree, and at 61.5cm tall it reads clearly from across the room. Fill each house with something small, a folded note, a tiny ornament or a clue for a treasure hunt, and open one each morning from the first of December until Christmas Eve.
