Calana is a round garden side table made from 100% cement, built from two simple forms stacked one on the other. A wide top with a flat surface and a softly curved underside rests on a brown cylindrical base with gently rounded shoulders, so the outline is soft from every angle. It is 33cm across and 46cm tall, a side table size: the top takes a paperback, a small plant pot or a lantern, and the height sits comfortably beside a low garden armchair.

This is a table for outdoors. Set it beside an armchair on the patio, at the end of a garden bench or on gravel between two loungers, where a small surface is handy without crowding the space. Being round, it slips neatly between chairs and looks the same from wherever you sit. Use it to keep a book and your sunglasses within reach, to lift a potted fern or trailing ivy off the ground, or to hold a lantern on summer evenings. It is compact enough for a small balcony and sits well in a larger garden, either on its own or dotted among a group of lounge chairs.
