Description

The Briller is a ring-form LED pendant light built from hundreds of clear acrylic spheres clustered around a chrome inner band. The integrated 60W 3000K LED sits behind the central drum and casts warm light outwards through the surrounding spheres, which refract and scatter the output into pinpoint highlights across the fitting. Available in two diameters: 50cm medium and 65cm large, both 19cm tall.

Designed for dining rooms, open-plan living areas and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.5m or higher, the Briller hangs from three thin suspension cables that visually disappear against most ceilings, leaving the ring of spheres reading as if it floats in mid-air. The flat torus shape makes it suitable for hanging above a round or oval dining table, where the diameter of the fitting can be matched to the table beneath it.

The acrylic spheres are lighter than equivalent glass droplets, which keeps the overall weight modest and simplifies installation, and they will not chip in the same way crystal can. Each sphere is clear all the way through, so daylight from windows passes through the fitting during the day and the chrome inner band catches reflections from the surrounding spheres. At night, the integrated LED gives the whole ring an internal glow rather than a single bright source.

Which size should I choose?

The Briller comes in 50cm (medium) and 65cm (large) diameters, both 19cm tall. For a dining table, choose a diameter roughly half to two-thirds the width of the table beneath it. The 50cm suits tables up to around 1.2m wide; the 65cm suits tables 1.4m and above.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 60W 3000K LED is integrated into the fitting rather than a replaceable bulb. The 2-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in the LED module.

Are the spheres glass or acrylic?

The spheres are clear acrylic. Acrylic is lighter than glass, which keeps the overall weight modest, and is more resistant to chipping if a sphere is knocked during cleaning or installation.

How is it cleaned?

Dust the acrylic spheres with a soft, dry microfibre cloth or a feather duster. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with warm water is acceptable. Avoid solvent-based cleaners, alcohol and abrasive sprays, as these can cloud or craze the acrylic surface.
