Description

The Bord SR/B is a round ceiling spotlight that takes a single GU10 lamp, rated for a maximum of 10W and running on a standard 220 to 240V mains supply. Sized at Ø95 by 125mm, it accepts a PAR16 reflector lamp, so the beam character and colour temperature are set by whichever GU10 you fit rather than being fixed by the fitting itself. In US terms a GU10 spotlight like this is the familiar twist-and-lock reflector format used for directional accent lighting, and the adjustable head lets you aim the light where it is needed.

Surface mounted to the ceiling, the Bord suits living rooms, hallways, kitchens and home offices where pinpointed light is wanted over a worktop, a piece of artwork or a reading corner. Because it carries one lamp, its output covers a focused pool rather than a whole room, so several are typically grouped along a run or clustered over a single zone to build up coverage. The throw and spread depend on the PAR16 lamp chosen, with a tighter beam giving a sharper highlight and a wider beam washing a larger area of wall or floor. This is an indoor fitting only and should be kept clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any exposed location.

Is the GU10 lamp included?

The Bord is supplied as the fitting with its GU10 holder; the lamp itself is bought separately. This lets you choose the wattage, beam angle and colour temperature that suit the room, up to the 10W maximum the fitting is rated for.

Can the Bord be used in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. With an IP20 rating it is for dry indoor use only and should not be installed in bathrooms, damp areas or any outdoor or sheltered-outdoor location. Choose an IP65-rated fitting for those settings.

What beam angle does it give?

The beam is set by the PAR16 GU10 lamp you fit rather than the fitting, so it can be narrow for a tight accent or wide for a broader wash. The adjustable head then lets you aim that beam onto a worktop, wall or feature.

How do I clean the spotlight?

Switch off and let the lamp cool, then wipe the aluminium body with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners so the black and silver finish stays unmarked.
