Description

Our Bia is a white console table with a softly wavy outline: the top and the lower shelf both have scalloped edges, carried on four twisted legs that finish in small shaped feet. It is 60cm long, 30cm wide and 60cm tall, and it is made of 60% MDF and 40% firwood, with legs of white pine. At 4.78KG it is light enough to lift and move on your own when you rearrange a room.

Being only 30cm wide, it slips into places a deeper table would crowd: a narrow hallway, the wall behind a sofa, a landing or the gap beside an armchair. At 60cm tall it sits lower than most consoles, nearer side table height, so it also works beside a bed or a reading chair. The top takes a table lamp, a vase of flowers or a tray for keys and post, while the lower shelf gives a second level for plants, books, baskets or ceramics you want on show but off the floor. It suits a cottage or period room with panelling and brings a lighter touch to a plain modern space.

The table is finished in white water-based paint over a body of MDF and fir, with legs of white pine. MDF is a dense, even board that takes a cut profile cleanly, which suits scalloped edges like these.
