Description

Betino is a round plant pot made from blue stoneware, 16cm across and 13.5cm tall, with a floral spray worked across the front. The flowers, buds and leaves sit slightly proud of the surface, so the pattern catches the light and reads clearly from across the room. A fine speckle runs through the blue finish, and the sides curve gently in towards a small foot, giving the pot a soft, rounded outline rather than a hard, straight-sided one. It is a planter with a little character, made for the plant you love most.

At 16cm across, it suits a small houseplant: a leafy trailing plant, a young fern or a few succulents grouped together. It sits comfortably on a windowsill, a bookshelf, a kitchen counter or the corner of a desk, where its modest height fits neatly between books and lamps. The floral detail brings a gentle cottage feeling to a plain room without crowding it, and the blue sits easily beside natural wood, linen and soft neutral tones. It also makes a thoughtful gift for someone setting up a first home or anyone who already has a windowsill full of greenery.

The pot is made from 100% stoneware and weighs 0.86KG, so it feels solid in the hand and sits steadily on a shelf. Stoneware is a dense, hard-wearing ceramic fired at high temperature, a material with an earthy weight that suits planters well. The floral motif is part of the pot's surface, standing in low relief against the speckled finish. The styling props shown are not included. For a simple arrangement, group it with two or three plainer pots of similar size on a windowsill and let this one take the front, where the flowers are seen at their best.
