Description

This is a set of six wooden Christmas decorations, each one a little beige drum topped with its own tiny festive scene. No two are alike: a snowman beside small trees, a Father Christmas figure by a little house, a striped ball and a wrapped present beside a tree, a doll holding a gift next to a rocking horse, a sleigh piled with parcels, and a teddy bear with a spotted ball. Each drum carries a zigzag pattern around its side between two banded rims, just like a toy drum. They are made from 100% birch wood, and each decoration is 3cm across and 5.5cm tall, so these are small, detailed pieces rather than large baubles.

At that size they sit happily among the baubles on a Christmas tree without crowding a branch, and they suit a small tabletop tree or a few winter branches in a vase just as well. Each one hangs from a loop of cord, so they can also be tied along a garland on the mantelpiece, onto a wreath or to a stair rail. Because every drum tells its own little story, the set suits anyone who loves a traditional, toy-box Christmas, and six pieces give you enough to spread around the tree rather than bunch in one spot. They also make a thoughtful small present for a friend who decorates every year.

The decorations are made from birch wood and finished with lacquer. Birch is a fine-grained hardwood, and lacquer seals the surface of wood under a smooth coat. Each little scene sits on top of its drum, with the hanging loop rising from the very top. For the best effect, hang them near the tips of the branches at eye level, where the figures can be seen, and space the six designs evenly around the tree. The styling props shown are not included.

Frequently Asked

What are these Christmas decorations made of?

They are made from 100% birch wood, a fine-grained hardwood, and finished with lacquer, which seals the surface of the wood.

How big is each decoration?

Each decoration is 3cm across and 5.5cm tall, small enough to hang from a slim branch, a garland or a tabletop tree.

Are all six decorations the same?

No. The set holds six decorations and no two are alike: each drum carries its own scene, from a snowman to a teddy bear.

Do they come ready to hang?

Yes. Each decoration has a hanging loop of cord at the very top, so it can go straight onto a branch.

Can I hang them somewhere other than the tree?

Yes. With a hanging loop on each, they work well tied along a garland on the mantelpiece, onto a wreath or to a stair rail.

What colour are the decorations?

They are beige, with a zigzag pattern around each drum and a small festive scene sitting on top of every one.
