Description

The Belvedere is a two tier buffet stand built from an aged gold metal frame and white Banswara marble shelves. Each of the two circular shelves measures 27.8cm in diameter, set within a domed cage frame that rises to 44cm overall height. The frame rests on four ball feet and carries a turned finial at the apex.

Used in dining rooms, kitchens and hospitality settings for serving afternoon tea, canapés, pastries or fruit, the two tiers create vertical display space on a compact 27.8cm footprint. The stand also functions as decorative storage in bathrooms, holding soaps and hand towels, or on dressing tables for jewellery and cosmetics. The ball feet raise the marble off surfaces to protect both the shelf and the table beneath.

The aged gold finish on the metal frame shows tonal variation and a gently antiqued patina that softens the reflectivity compared to polished brass. The white Banswara marble has subtle grey veining and a honed rather than polished surface, giving a natural stone appearance rather than high-gloss. At 5.86kg the stand has enough weight to remain stable when loaded but can still be lifted and repositioned without difficulty.

Libra Interiors does not publish a specific load rating. The marble shelves are 27.8cm diameter and approximately 10mm thick, so they will comfortably hold typical afternoon tea service (plates, cups, cakes) or decorative items of similar weight distributed across the surface.

Can the shelves be removed for cleaning?

The marble shelves sit within the metal frame but are not fixed. They can be lifted out for cleaning or wiping down separately from the frame.

How is the marble cleaned?

Wipe the marble with a soft damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid acidic cleaners (lemon juice, vinegar-based sprays) as they can etch the stone. For stubborn marks, use a pH-neutral stone cleaner or mild dish soap diluted in water.
