The Bask is a 64cm-diameter crystal chandelier built around a tiered polished chrome frame densely strung with precision-cut crystal droplets. Six E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit concealed within the structure, casting light through multiple layers of faceted crystal that refract and multiply the brightness. The chrome frame is arranged in concentric rings that create a cascading cylindrical profile, with each tier supporting strings of crystal beads and spheres.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and sitting rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Bask delivers both ambient and decorative light. The adjustable drop ranges from 670mm minimum to 1600mm maximum, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or lowered further in double-height spaces. The 64cm diameter suits tables seating 6-8 or entrance halls of 4-5m width without dominating smaller rooms.

Each crystal element is hand-strung onto the chrome armature, creating a continuous curtain of faceted glass that catches and scatters light in all directions when the bulbs are lit. The polished chrome finish reflects both natural daylight and the bulb light back through the crystals, amplifying the overall brightness. At 18.5kg, the chandelier requires secure ceiling fixings and is best installed by a qualified electrician. The chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the chain conceals the cable run.

The Bask pairs with traditional and contemporary interiors where high-impact decorative lighting is required. Dimmer compatibility depends on bulb choice — pairing with dimmable E14 LED candle bulbs allows the light level to be adjusted from full brightness for entertaining to low ambient wash for evening use.

The chandelier takes six E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs around 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for a warm glow through the crystal.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs. The fixture itself is dimmer-compatible, but you must use dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch to achieve variable light levels.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop is 670mm. For a dining table the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. The chain adjusts up to 1600mm for higher ceilings or double-height spaces.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Turn off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe each crystal element with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the metal frame or getting water into the lamp holders. Do not use spray cleaners or chemical polishes on the crystal.
