Five slender arms sweep out from a central antique brass stem and rise into one wide drum shade, so the light reads as a single soft mass overhead rather than a scatter of small points. The shade is dual faux silk, nude beige on the outside with a moonlight lining that gives the downward light a gentle warmth. At 60cm across it is a generous width, and the shallow body keeps the proportions calm. The candle lamps sit inside the shade, on E14 sockets, out of direct view.

We would hang this over a dining table, where the width sits comfortably within the table edge, or centrally in a wide hallway, on a stair landing or in a bedroom that wants something soft above the bed. The chain lets you set the drop to suit the ceiling and the furniture below it.
