Description

The Bano is a 500mm square two-tier crystal chandelier built on a polished chrome rectangular frame, with faceted crystal buttons suspended in vertical strands from both the upper and lower tiers. An integrated 47W LED array runs along the inner edges of each frame tier, producing 5000 lumens of 4000K cool white light that refracts through the crystal strands.

Designed for dining rooms, double-height hallways and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Bano provides both decorative presence and functional ambient light. The adjustable suspension allows a drop range of 530mm to 2030mm, making it adaptable to standard ceiling heights or double-height spaces. The polished chrome finish provides high reflectivity, multiplying the light output from the LEDs and adding to the overall brightness of the fitting.

Each tier carries aligned crystal strands cut to graduated lengths, creating a waterfall effect when viewed from the side. The crystal buttons are precision-cut to refract light at multiple angles, so the fitting casts small points of light across surrounding walls and ceilings when lit. The polished chrome frame weighs 7.45kg, giving the chandelier substantial presence without requiring additional ceiling reinforcement in most residential installations. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible mains dimmer, allowing the output to be adjusted from full 5000-lumen brightness down to a low ambient setting.

Is the Bano dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED is dimmable when used with a compatible mains dimmer switch. Not all dimmers support LED loads — check compatibility before purchasing or contact us for recommended dimmer models.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 530mm plus the 500mm width of the lower tier means the chandelier needs at least 2.4m ceiling height to avoid head clearance issues when hung over a dining table. For hallways and living rooms where the fitting is not directly overhead, 2.6m or higher is recommended.

What is the colour temperature?

The integrated LED produces 4000K cool white light. This is cooler than the warm white (2700-3000K) commonly used in residential spaces, giving a more clinical or modern feel. If you prefer warmer light, check the Diyas range for warm white variants.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the mains before cleaning. Use a soft microfibre cloth to wipe individual crystal buttons. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome frame or allowing water near the LED driver housing. Do not use chemical sprays or polishes on the crystal.
