The Aussie Coral is a 48cm tall aluminium barrel vase with an openwork structure that echoes the branching forms of subtropical coral reef. Cast from aluminium and hand-finished in India, the vase presents as a single sculptural object with hundreds of irregular apertures formed by interlocking coral-like tendrils. The gold finish gives the metal a warm, slightly aged tone that sits between polished brass and antique bronze.

Designed as a decorative piece rather than a functional water vessel, the vase suits tall dried grasses, pampas stems, or branches displayed on a console table, sideboard or wide windowsill. The 26cm square footprint provides stability without dominating the surface, and the 1.9kg weight keeps the vase grounded when displaying tall stems. The openwork structure allows stems to be threaded through at different angles, giving control over arrangement shape and density.

Each vase is hand-cast in India using sand moulds, so the exact pattern of apertures and the finish texture vary between individual pieces.
