Description
The Armand is a 65cm crystal chandelier with six arms arranged around a central French gold column, each arm holding an E14 candle bulb (sold separately). The arms extend outward from the column at equal intervals, each fitted with a cut-crystal bobeche beneath the bulb holder and a faceted crystal sconce. Between the arms hang draped crystal bead strands that form shallow arcs, with individual droplets suspended from the chandelier's lower tier to catch and refract light.
Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Armand provides ambient light through the six bulbs combined with decorative light refracted through the crystal elements. The adjustable drop ranges from 980mm to 1960mm, allowing the chandelier to be set between 600-800mm above a dining table or positioned higher as a statement piece in a double-height hallway. The French gold finish is a warm, lightly antiqued tone that sits between polished brass and bronze, pairing comfortably with cream, sage and taupe interiors.
Each crystal element is precision-cut to maximise facets — the bobeches, sconces and droplets all refract light at multiple angles when the bulbs are lit. The 7.42kg weight gives the chandelier a substantial presence without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings in most UK properties built to modern or Victorian standards. The chandelier is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing the light level to be adjusted from full brightness for dining to a softer wash for ambient evening light.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Armand take?
The chandelier takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, commonly known as candle bulbs due to their tapered shape. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K and 4-6W per bulb for a total output of 24-36W across all six.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier frame itself is passive — dimming capability depends entirely on the bulbs and the wall dimmer being compatible with each other.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 980mm plus the 65cm diameter means the chandelier works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. For dining tables, the chandelier is typically hung 700-800mm above the table surface, which requires approximately 2.7m ceiling height when accounting for the chandelier's own height plus the gap to the table.
Does the chandelier come with a chain or cable?
The Armand uses a linked chain suspension system that can be adjusted during installation to set the drop between 980mm and 1960mm. The chain runs through the central column and links back to the ceiling canopy, concealing the electrical cable within the column structure.
