Description
This amethyst heart tree decoration takes the shape of a golden heart and turns it into a little tree. Fine branches spring from both sides of the frame, each tipped with small purple chips in shades from deep violet to pale lilac, so the outline looks as though it is in leaf. Its two sides meet at the foot in a rough white base, the top scattered with more purple chips. It stands 25.5cm tall, 24cm across and 6cm deep, a size that sits comfortably on a shelf without crowding it.
Because it stands on its own base, it needs no wall and no hook. Set it on a mantelpiece, a dressing table, a bedside table or a desk, or on a windowsill where daylight falls through the open centre of the heart and picks out the purple. The outline is open, so it reads as a light, airy piece rather than a solid block, and it suits a quiet corner as well as a busy shelf. Gold and purple make a warm pairing beside natural wood, cream walls and soft neutrals, bringing a touch of colour to a plain room. As a gift, it says a great deal without words: a heart to keep on show.
The heart frame is wound tightly with gold-coloured wire, and finer twists of the same wire branch out from it, each carrying its cluster of purple chips. The chips vary in size and tone, so no two branches look alike. Lift it by the base rather than the heart, and set it on a level surface where it will not be brushed past. To keep it looking its best, dust it lightly with a soft dry brush or cloth, working gently round the branches. We like it beside a small dish for rings, or wrapped in tissue as a gift that needs nothing more than a card.

Frequently Asked
How big is the amethyst heart tree decoration?
It stands 25.5cm tall, measures 24cm across at its widest and is 6cm deep. It fits easily on a shelf, mantelpiece or bedside table.
Does it need to be hung on a wall?
No. It stands on its own rough white base, so it needs no wall, hook or nail. Simply set it on a level shelf or table.
What colours is it?
The heart frame and its branches are gold. The small chips along the branches and on top of the base are purple, in shades from deep violet to pale lilac, and they are set off by the white base.
How do I clean it?
Dust it lightly with a soft dry brush or cloth, working gently round the branches. Lift it by the base rather than by the heart when you move it.
Does it make a good gift?
Yes. A heart that stands on its own makes a thoughtful gift for a shelf or dressing table, and it needs little more than tissue and a card.
