Description

The Alexandra is a 60cm-diameter spiral crystal chandelier with fourteen E14 bulb positions arranged across a tiered polished chrome frame. Clear crystal strands hang in graduated tiers that spiral downward from a chrome ceiling mount, creating a twisting waterfall effect that extends from a minimum 1170mm drop to a maximum 3120mm depending on how much chain is used during installation.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells with ceiling heights above 3.5m, and galleried landings, the Alexandra provides both ambient and decorative lighting across a vertical column. The fourteen bulbs sit behind the crystal strands rather than exposed, so the light refracts through the crystals and bounces off the chrome framework. The 600mm diameter keeps the chandelier visually balanced in narrower stairwells without overwhelming a 1.2-1.5m landing width.

Each crystal strand is precision-cut to catch and refract light at different angles as you move past the chandelier, creating a shifting pattern of highlights across walls and ceiling. The polished chrome frame reflects both the crystal and the surrounding interior, making the chandelier appear lighter and more integrated than a dark metal equivalent would. At 12kg total weight, the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced mounting point, not just plasterboard.

The adjustable drop allows the chandelier to be shortened for lower voids or extended for taller stairwells, with the chain concealing the cable run between ceiling rose and chandelier body. The chrome canopy measures approximately 120mm diameter and fits UK standard ceiling roses. Bulbs are sold separately — most installations use 14 x E14 LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to achieve warm ambient light without excessive glare.
