Description

The Albuera is a black photo frame that stands on its own, with no separate stand to unfold. The frame is aluminium, formed as one continuous curve: the upright face bends at the bottom into a flat foot that rests on the surface. A finely textured black finish covers it, giving a grainy look in place of a glossy shine. It holds a picture 10cm by 10cm behind a glass front, with an MDF back, and measures 14.5cm in length, 8cm in width and 14.5cm in height.

Because it stands on its own, the Albuera suits a desk, a bedside table, a bookshelf or a mantelpiece, anywhere indoors you want a favourite picture close at hand. The square window is made for square prints: a phone photo printed square, a small portrait or a snapshot trimmed to size. Black works with almost any picture, framing colour and black and white photographs alike, and it sits quietly beside pale wood, white walls or darker accessories. The compact size fits a narrow shelf or a busy desk without crowding it, which makes it a thoughtful small gift for a new home, a graduation or a birthday.

Aluminium is a light metal that does not rust, and the whole frame weighs 0.35KG, light enough to move between rooms whenever you rearrange a shelf. The glass front keeps dust and fingerprints off the print, while the MDF back gives the picture a firm, flat backing. Before you choose a photograph, bear in mind that the window is square, so a rectangular print will need trimming to 10cm by 10cm, while a square print needs no trimming at all.

Frequently Asked

What size photograph does the Albuera hold?

It holds a picture 10cm by 10cm, so it suits square prints, and a rectangular photograph will need trimming to that size first.

Does the frame stand by itself?

Yes. The aluminium curves at the bottom into a flat foot, so the frame stands on a shelf, desk or table without a separate stand.

What material is the frame?

The frame is aluminium with a textured black finish, the front is glass and the back is MDF. Aluminium is a light metal that does not rust.

How big is the frame overall?

It measures 14.5cm in length, 8cm in width and 14.5cm in height, and it weighs 0.35KG, so it fits a narrow shelf or bedside table easily.

Which rooms suit the Albuera?

Any dry indoor spot suits it, such as a desk, bedside table, bookshelf or mantelpiece, where a small picture is seen up close every day.
